Raising names from the dead: A time-calibrated phylogeny of frog shells (Bursidae, Tonnoidea, Gastropoda) using mitogenomic data

چکیده

With 59 Recent species, Bursidae, known as «frog shells», are a small but widely distributed group of tropical and subtropical gastropods that most diverse in the Indo-West Pacific. The present study is aimed at reconstructing phylogenetic relationships bursid based on extensive representative taxon sampling. Five genetic markers (cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (cox1), 16 s 12 rRNA mitochondrial genes, 28 Histone H3 nuclear gene) were sequenced for over 30 species every genus Crossata. Furthermore, we complete mt-genome 9 (10 specimens) (Aspa marginata, Marsupina bufo, Korrigania quirihorai, fijiensis, Tutufa rubeta, Bursa lamarckii, Lampasopsis rhodostoma (twice), Bufonaria perelegans aff. tuberosissima). Our analysis recovered Bursidae monophyletic group, whereas was found to be polyphyletic. genera Talisman Dulcerana resurrected Alanbeuella gen. nov. described. Dating using 21 extinct taxa node simplified tip calibrations performed, showing diversification two phases. Diversification may linked tectonic events leading biodiversity relocation from western Tethys toward Indo-Pacific.

Molecular phylogeny of Polyneoptera (Insecta) inferred from expanded mitogenomic data

The Polyneoptera represents one of the earliest insect radiations, comprising the majority of hemimetabolous orders, in which many species have great economic importance. Here, we sequenced eleven mitochondrial genomes of the polyneopteran insects by using high throughput pooled sequencing technology, and presented a phylogenetic reconstruction for this group based on expanded mitochondrial gen...

A mitogenomic phylogeny and genetic history of Amphioctopus fangsiao (d’Orbigny 1839-1841) from China

Phylogeny and genetic diversity of Amphioctopus fangsiao were assessed by sequence analysis of complete mitochondrial genomes, sequenced from 15 individuals of nine populations. The whole mtDNA genomes size were ranging from 15977 to 15990 bp. Data revealed 1642 polymorphic sites and 1023 parsimony informative sites.  The phylogenetic analysis based on neighbor joining tree disclosed two clades...

A time-calibrated phylogeny of the butterfly tribe Melitaeini.

The butterfly tribe Melitaeini [Nymphalidae] contains numerous species that have been the subjects of a wide range of biological studies. Despite numerous taxonomic revisions, many of the evolutionary relationships within the tribe remain unresolved. Utilizing mitochondrial and nuclear gene regions, we produced a time-calibrated phylogenetic hypothesis for 222 exemplars comprising at least 178 ...

Phylogeny of Cladobranchia (Gastropoda: Nudibranchia): a total evidence analysis using DNA sequence data from public databases

Cladobranchia is a clade of charismatic and exclusively marine slugs (Gastropoda: Nudibranchia). Though Cladobranchia and its sister taxon, Anthobranchia, have been supported by molecular data, little resolution among the higher-level groups within these two clades has emerged from previous analyses. Cladobranchia is traditionally divided into three taxa (Dendronotida, Euarminida, and Aeolidida...
